Kaufman PTO Meeting Minutes
Meeting called to order by Carla @9:11 am in room 212 on 10/1/18.

Paw-Sitive Reports: Janna did a great with the Chick-Fil-A Spirit Day!!!
Minutes were read and approved.
Principal’s Report: Thank you for supporting and being part of the Stephanie Allen dedication. Thanks for all PTO has been doing.
President’s Report: The credit card readers are in and can only be used by board members.
VP of Events: Veterans Day Flags will be started soon and will be done with printed labels this year. The spirit store will be open all day during boosterthon. The donuts that we used for the back to school breakfast came from the donut store in front of the neighborhood and they are willing to help us with any other event we may have.
VP of Fundraising: Boosterthon shirts will be here Wednesday October 3rd. Gift cards will be given out as prizes for top three teachers totaling $205. Each CAMP and Special ED teacher will be given a $5 gift card as a thank you for taking their time to help motivate the students. The 5 top students will get to participate in a science experiment with the Science Sisters in The Outdoor Classroom. A treat for any student that raised over $300 was tabled for the next meeting.
Arlene’s Grocery store donated cases of water bottles to Kaufman.
Treasure’s Report: Have $34,097.35 with $10,000.00 in outstanding checks, leaving $23,640.22 in the bank account.
ORHS HC Parade: The trailer was donated by Sunbelt Rentals and will be decorated with the game night theme of multiply games. Mrs. Oliver requested PTO board members and Kaufman staff only to ride the float. We can throw out candy!!!
Spirit Night: October 11th is 3Bs, all day. October 25th at Panera Bread was cancelled, so we will try to book Mario’s or Raising Caines that evening. World’s Gym would like to host a spirit night with an open gym night.
Volunteer Coordinator: Badge policy changed throughout all of CISD so only board members are receiving badges this year. If anyone needs helpers of any sort let Jennifer Morris know and she will send out emails asking for volunteers.
The book fair made $1,000 more this year than it did last year, so thank you for all your help with the back to school breakfast and academic night.
New Funding Requests: NO
New Business: NO
Old Business: Tabled from the previous meeting was any requests for p.e. or playground equipment for special needs students comes from the state.
